Summer Fun

I got a good deal off Groupon for the Park City zip line so we went up there last Friday and did it.  Noah was a little nervous at first but it was a lot of fun.  The zip line was at the Utah Olympic Park and they had a little museum that we walked around in.   We also rode the Alpine slide.  Then we did a little shopping at the outlets and had dinner and came home.  Saturday we went to Seven Peaks.  Today we went hiking up Donut Falls.

Jimmer Jam Camp

Noah just finished doing the Jimmer Jam camp in Lehi.  He had so much fun and has been anticipating it for months.  He earned the money to help pay for it too so I think it meant even more to him.  Jimmer was there the whole time and gave them instruction.  The main person was Jimmer's uncle who led the camp.  His whole family was there and helped with the camp.  Some of the players from BYU were there also helping out.  Noah was able to get autographs and they gave all the kids a basketball.

Bee's Game

Tonight we went to the Bees game.  It was University of Utah night there thru my work.  The seats were pretty good and the weather was perfect.  Baseball is sometimes hard for me to watch.  It just seems so slow but we stayed until the end and the Bee's won.  I think Noah got a little bored.  He seemed a little restless but said he liked it.

Crystal Springs

So we tried and tried to arrange a family trip with all of my siblings and parents and it was just so hard to coordinate every one's schedules so we decided to let it go this year.  I had a week of time off this past week so I decided to go to Crystal Springs with Noah.  I invited anyone else who wanted or could come and it ended up just being my parents and me and Noah.  We had fun being together and of course making memories.  I hadn't been to Crystal Springs in quite a few years and I think I remember why.  It is a little run down and the camping wasn't the greatest.  A train kept passing through every 2 hours during the night and honking this loud horn.  We did however eat at Maddox in Brigham City the night we went up and then met Kelly and his family at a pizza place in Logan.  It was a short little get away and not the best but we still had fun.

Tara came to Town

So Tara came to town towards the end of June and stayed for 2 weeks.  It was so great to have her and her boys her to hang out with.  We walked the hill quite a few times and had some great chats.  We did a girls night and got pedicures and went to Olive Garden, saw Rock of Ages (great movie if you love the 80's classics), went to the Children's Museum and even squeezed in an episode of the Bachelorette...It was great having her here and I just love her 2 little guys to pieces..

West Fest 5K Again!

So I ran, okay I walked a lot too, the West Fest 5 K again this year.  Noah did it with me but he goes on way ahead of me so I don't see him until the end.  I didn't beat my time this year which I was a little discouraged about but I still felt like I did my best.  I was about 2 mins. slower this year.  Me, my mom and Kristi did some 5 K training that was offered through the rec center every Saturday for 10 weeks prior to the race.  They gave us shirts and helped us with some running tips and tricks for getting through the race.  We all did well and made it.  Tara was here and did it as well as my parents.

6th Grade Graduation

Noah is officially done with elementary school. I can't believe that I will have a jr. high kid next year. It makes me feel totally old (and I am old). they had a little program and presented awards to the students.   Noah received awards for Honor Roll and Outstanding Student in Language Arts.  He had a great 6th grade teacher too.  I'm really going to miss her.  She knew some of the struggles Noah was having and really tried to help him in those areas and build up his self esteem.  Junior High, here we come.
