January and Jazz Game

So, I entered a drawing a couple of months ago for Noah to be a captain of a Jazz game.  Who knew that we would actually win but they called us a couple of weeks ago telling us that we had.  It was the game against Houston on the 28th.  It was a very pathetic loss (45points) and apparently the worst loss in history at the Energy Solutions Arena.  But before the game, Noah got to go do rebounding for the team, go out on the floor during the pledge and the tunnel.  Plus he got an autographed jersey.  He was in heaven.  Our seats were in the lower bowl and were great.  It was a lot of fun.  January has been going fast and has been very cold with lots of snow.  Can't wait for Spring.

Noah's 13th Birthday

Noah turned 13 this year.  I can't believe he is getting so old and is officially a teenager now.  He wanted to invite a few friends to Planet Play.  They have a pizza buffet and then some games, laser tag and cars to ride.  The kids all seemed to have a fun night.  On Sunday, we had the family come over for pizza and cake.

His birthday cake.  He loves the chocolate chip oatmeal cake that my mom always used to make us growing up.

Christmas

I'm so behind on posting on this blog.  Sometimes I think I will just let it go but it's like my scrapbook so I hate to just quit doing it.  We had another great Christmas.  We had our family Christmas party in Logan at Kelly's house on the Saturday before Christmas.  It was a lot of fun.  We had dinner, games, white elephants, talent show and just enjoying being together.  We really missed Raleigh and Tara this year.  They weren't able to come down since Christmas was in the middle of the week and Raleigh had to work.  Sad times.  On Christmas Eve, we went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and to see Christmas lights.  Then we came home and watched Christmas Vacation.  We have to watch that every year.  It's such a classic and has so many good quotes.  I had Noah for Christmas Eve and morning this year and then he went to Kent's.  This year, Noah got a Gordon Hayward jersey, movies, books and Jazz stuff.  He didn't really ask for anything specific this year but he seemed to be happy with what he got.
