Jimmer Camp

Noah had the chance to go to the Jimmer Camp again this year.  Jimmer Fredette and his whole family are involved in the camp.  They teach the kids a lot of good schools not just in basketball but skills they can use throughout their lives.  They also get a tshirt and a basketball to keep.  Noah said he had a good time.  The camp was held at the XSI Factory in Lehi.  Here are some of the shots I got.

Newman Reunion

This year we had our Newman reunion at Kelly's in Wellsville.  Kelly and Cherish are nice enough to open up their home and let all of us stay there.  They have a big beautiful home up on the mountain in Wellsville.  Everyone seemed to have a great time.  We went up on July 4th and celebrated the 4th with a BBQ and watched fireworks.  The kids got to go swimming, ride horses, dirt bikes and 4 wheelers.  All the grand kids went to the Brigham City temple with my parents and did baptisms.  It was a great experience for them.  We watched a movie in their theater room, saw Caleb being ordained a teacher and had fun just visiting and being together.

Girls Trip to Park City

We did our annual girls trip to Park City this year.  We usually go to St. George but we just couldn't make it work this year.  We picked a day when we knew that Tara would be in town and we planned it.  We were sad that Cherish and Melodie weren't able to come.  We need to plan better and plan earlier so that everyone can make it work with their schedules.  We just went up on a Thursday afternoon and did some shopping at the outlets, went to dinner at Loco Lizard and then just hung out and visited.  We went to Cold Stone for a treat.  We stayed at the Yarrow Hotel.  It was pretty decent.  It was a hotel deal we got on Groupon.  We got up the next morning and got ready and drove home.  It took them to my favorite breakfast place in SLC called Over the Counter.  They seemed to like it ok.  Then we did a little more shopping and came home.  It was quick but we had a good time.

Disneyland

Kenny and Melodie invited us to go to Disneyland with them.  They had never taken their kids and were planning a trip.  We ended up going and my parents came also.  We stayed in some condos just a couple of blocks from Disneyland.  Me and Noah stayed in a condo with my parents and Kenny and Melodie and their kids stayed in another room just down the hall from ours.  We went to Disneyland 2 days, Universal Studios and the beach.  It was nice and the weather was perfect.  Tara and her boys met us down there and stayed for a couple of days.  They went to the beach with us.  We went to Huntington Beach.  Noah and I flew down on Monday night and went home Saturday morning.  It was a nice little vacation.  I'm glad we decided to go.

They have a new place in California Adventure called Cars Land.  They have a really fun Cars ride.  It was probably one of our favorite rides.

Easter and Spring Break

I'm trying to keep up with this blog but time goes so fast.  We had Easter dinner with my parents and it was good as usual.  I still talked Noah into dying Easter eggs but he didn't do any Easter egg hunts.  I guess he is too old for that now.  I love all the traditional things that go along with the holidays but sometimes it makes me sad to think that Noah is getting to old to do some of the kiddie stuff.  Oh well, I need to try and focus more on the spiritual meaning of the holidays more than the commercialism anyway.  I guess I didn't take any photos either.  Oh well.  It was a nice holiday.
