9th Grade

Noah just started 9th grade.  It's his last year in jr high and then off to high school next year.  It's so crazy to me how fast time is going.  I wish he wouldn't grow up so fast.  He'll be grown and out of the house before I know it.

Newman Reunion

We had our annual Newman reunion up at Kelly's again this past weekend.  We all had a great time.  We did a hike, rode ATV's,  drove Kelly's father in laws sports cars, did a talent show and just hung out.  It was a lot of fun just being with everyone.  Kevin came this year and he had a great time.  He gets along really well with the whole family.  It was fun having him up there.  Tara and Raleigh weren't able to make it this time so we missed them but it was great to have everyone else there.  It is so much fun for the cousins to get to spend some good quality time together.

Noah Got Braces

Noah finally got braces today.  He has needed them for a little while now but I went to a lot of consults and we really liked the guy at Granger Medical.  He's really nice and I think he will do a great job.  He only got the top ones on so far and he'll get the bottom ones on in a few months.

Car Accident

We were in a car accident on March 13th.  I accidentally ran a red light on 5600 W just off 201 Freeway and T Boned someone.  It was terrible and so scary.  I really thought we were dead.  My car ended up being totalled.  Luckily, we were only hurt a little.  My left knee was swollen up like a softball and really bruised.  It has finally started to heal.  We went to the ER and got checked out.  Noah had a small abrasion on his neck from the seat belt and they xrayed my knee and it was ok.  Noah was pretty hysterical at the impact of the accident.  He had been asleep in the car and what a way to wake up.  It scared him to death.

Presidents Day and Snowmobiling

We went snowmobiling in West Yellowstone again this year over President's Day weekend.  We went with Ronalee and her kids.  We had a great time.  The snow wasn't as good as it was the previous year but we still had fun.  It gets pretty cold but you stay pretty warm in your snow suit and boots and everything.

Noah's #14 Birthday

I can't believe Noah is 14.  I say this every year as he turns one year older.  It just seemed like yesterday when I was in the hospital having him.  His birthday was on the first day back to school after Christmas break.  I did a balloon door the night before so that when he opened his door in the morning, all the balloons will fall down on him.  He thought that was fun.  After he got home from school, he opened his presents and then we went to dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings.  They sang to him and gave him cake.  Then we went and saw a movie.  It was his choice and he picked Grudge Match.  It was kinda dumb and wasn't my choice but it was ok.  He said he had a good birthday.  He was also ordained to the office of a teacher in our church.  My Dad did the ordination.  It was a really special day.  I also got Noah Jazz tickets to see the Oklahoma Thunder play the day after his birthday.
