I have never taken Noah to a parade. I'm not a big fan. I hate the heat, the crowds, trying to deal with parking, etc. This year though, we went to the Southtowne expo center to the float preview for the Pioneer Day parade. They have all of the floats out and you can walk around and look at them and vote for your favorite one. I couldn't believe how awesome they were and how much detail they had. Some of them must have taken months to do. We went with Kristi and her kids, Tara and her boys, Melodie and her kids and my Mom. It was a really fun time and the kids loved it. The best part was that it was a free event. You gotta love free right? The pictures don't even do these floats justice. They were so much better in person. Maybe one of these years I will brave the heat and crowds and take Noah to one of the parades. Every kid needs to go to at least one parade.
This picture didn't turn out very good but it was a float with the seagulls and crickets. It was so awesome and so creative. It was my favorite one.
This was a float from the movie "How To Train Your Dragon"
This was an Oquirrah Mountain temple float
This was a float for West Valley City
This was Noah's favorite float

Newman Reunion
This was considered our first official "Newman Reunion". We went up to Midway, Utah. We all had so much fun. We usually try to get together and do something every summer. As every ones families get bigger, sometimes this can be difficult. This year, my parents rented a cute house in Midway with a nice big backyard. We played volleyball, went on bike rides, stayed up late playing games and chatting. It was so much fun. A few of us went to Park City and rode on the Alpine slide. I haven't done that in years and it was great fun. Noah got to ride in his own cart this time. On Sunday, we did a little devotional with everyone since we weren't going to church. It was so neat to feel the spirit there and feel close as a family. Next year, I will be in charge so I'm taking suggestions/requests now. lol. We missed having Raleigh there this year. Hopefully he will be able to come next year. WARNING!!! This post has lots of pictures and they are in no particular order. There were so many cute ones, it was hard for me to pick which ones to put on here.

Summer Fun
On the night of the 4th of July, some of the grand kids camped in my parents backyard. It was my sister in law, Melodies idea. The kids loved it. My parents and Kenny and Melodie slept out there with them. They even made a fire in the fire pit and made smores. They had a great time. The next morning, we all met back over at my parents and had a yummy breakfast courtesy of my Dad and Kenny. It was so fun for the kids and I'm sure it will be a great memory for them.
PS-Thanks for the pictures Kristi. I stole them from your blog. (:
